Continuous improvement is usually impossible to maintain without a structured management system in place.

In 1999, ESAB became the first supplier of welding products with an ISO 14001 certified production unit, and in the beginning of 2006 ESAB achieved a group-wide ISO 14001certification of our Environmental Management System. ESAB then decided to include also Health & Safety in the management system, and in the beginning of 2008 the certification was extended to cover also OHSAS 18001.

While many thousands of companies around the world have achieved ISO 14001 certification, ESAB is the first global welding company to have achieved a group-wide ISO 9001 certification. The scope of the group certificate is all ESAB employees, units and activities globally, e.g. management, development, design, purchasing, production, sales and services of welding and cutting products.
